With
a strong commitment to the horse population and the worrying increase in wormer
resistance, the vets at Wolfgar developed a new worming programme in 2005
and trialled it with a few of our clients who were also worried about resistance
developing to wormers and the frequent over use of wormers.

After
the success of this trial we have rolled out the Wolfgar worming plan to all our
clients and referral cases this year. An
exciting partnership with Rollestones feeds was forged
this year to provide faecal worm egg counts to their clients enabling a wider
percentage of the horse population of Devon to be wormed only when necessary.
