Gastroscopy
and endoscopy
These scopes vary in length allowing us to view the respiratory tract, to assess
the function of the larynx and other upper respiratory tract disorders in the
performance horse. As
well as allowing samples to be taken from the trachea and bronchi in horses with
breathing difficulties. Gastroscopy
enables the stomach and proximal intestine to be analysed for ulceration. The
scopes can also check the bladder and urethers in horse which have difficulty
urinating or blood in the urine. |
